Adult Guardianship

Adult Guardianship involves a person over the age of 18 years old that cannot manage their own personal, medical or financial matters due to disability, mental illness, disease, chronic substance or alcohol abuse.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Services

ADR services are used to supplement or replace the use of a traditional trial. The goal is to reduce or eliminate the problems associated with disagreements.

Behavioral Health

Behavioral Health services are used to mitigate the impact of the criminal justice system on persons experiencing severe mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

Bernalillo County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (BCCJCC)

A forum concerning the law, the legal system, and the administration of justice for the residents of Bernalillo County.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

The New Mexico CASA Association develops and supports local programs throughout New Mexico that provide quality volunteer advocacy in court for children who are abused and neglected.

Court Improvement Project

Initiatives through court, agency, and stakeholder collaboration to improve the safety, permanency, and well-being of children and families in NM Children’s Court.

Department for Therapeutic Justice

A collaborative treatment-based Drug Court model that works with repeat offenders whose criminal activity is driven by underlying substance abuse or mental illness.
